Some of us simply like to pray before we even step out of bed in the morning, others take time out to pray and read the Bible as part of their morning routine, and still others like to be part of a community praying each day. And some people would like to give it a go, but simply don't know where to start.

From Advent Sunday to Christmas Day, there's an easy way to give it a go, and even though the services will be live on Facebook at 8.00am (not everyone's favourite time of day), you can catch up at any time of day just by scrolling through facebook.com/BillinghamCofE to find the day's post.

We've put together a simplified form of Anglican Morning Prayer for Advent, which you can download on this page to enable you to join in. On Sundays, it will be even more streamlined as we use only the marked sections.

To go alongside that, there's a special booklet of Psalms, readings and prayers. There's a psalm for each day of the week, so those will come round three or four times. And then for each day there's a specially chosen set reading, a key verse from the reading, and a prayer. You might want to look up the reading in your Bible, or online, or you could just listen as it is read. The prayers come from right across the Christian tradition, from the ancient to the modern.
