Funerals

A funeral is used to mark the end of a person's life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God's keeping. This can be a small, quiet ceremony or a larger occasion.

Our churches are almost always available for a funeral service, perhaps before going on to the Crematorium, and we will certainly do all we can to help and support a family through the pain of losing a loved one.

When making the initial arrangements for a funeral it is usually best to contact a local funeral director and they will liaise with the church and minister to try and meet your requirements.

Whether a churchyard burial is available depends on the parish and other factors and will need to be discussed on an individual basis.
