Nazeing

Nazeing is one of the largest parishes in Essex.

Our Christian community on this headland dates back over a thousand years when, in the 7th Century, the followers of St Cedd brought the gospel to Essex. The parish has two churches:

All Saints, a beautiful Grade 1 listed church, which dates back to the 11th century.

St Giles, at the crossroads in Nazeing village, was built in 1964 and has been a much-loved community church and hall for over 50 years.

Safeguarding

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO, Revd. Darren McIndoe 07886 502307 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor, Danielle Law 01245 294472. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
