Solway Plain Parish

The Solway Plain covers an area of 40 square miles in one of the loveliest and most unspoilt parts of England. The area, located between the sea and the Lake District fells, and somewhat misleadingly known as the Solway Plain, is anything but flat. Among the hills and hollows of the lovely undulating landscape are scattered hamlets and villages, each with their own character. The Solway Firth coast forms the northern border of the Parish and is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The A596 Carlisle-Wigton-Aspatria road roughly defines the southern border.

Our churches

Safeguarding

The teaching of Christ establishes the special significance of every human being and especially the central place of children in the sight of God. Our parish is committed to fulfil His law of love and to provide for the safety, well-being and proper development of all children, young people and vulnerable adults in our care.
We will also properly equip and support those adults who work with and relate to them.

In the Solway Plain Parish we work hard to maintain a safe environment for all.
