Lorton and Loweswater with Buttermere
We are a group of three historic rural churches set in the lovely Vale of Lorton, just south of Cockermouth. Holidaymakers and local residents are warmly welcomed to a range of different regular services across the benefice, as well as many social events.
Our benefice is part of the Church of England's Carlisle Diocese. To keep in touch with the diocese you can subscribe to the Carlisle Diocese eNews monthly newsletter.
We are also part of the Grasmoor Mission Community, a group of Anglican, Methodist and URC churches in and around Cockermouth. For details of all our services, and other activities, week by week, check the Facebook page or the Newsletter page on the GMC website: http://grasmoormc.church/stayingconnected
