St. Rumwold parish, as part of their Mission Action Plan, hosted our inaugural Benefice Taizé prayer, last Thursday, 27th March. Members of the PCC visited Canterbury Cathedral to draw inspiration and to experience a Taizé act of worship for themselves. Our churchwarden, Norman Corfield, added by his talented daughter, created a beautiful, homemade and hand-painted Taizé Cross, which was used for the first time during the liturgy. Rector Geoff incorporated the prayer service as part of his session on contemplative prayer. It is hoped that this form of prayer will become a regular feature of our Benefice life.
