The Easter Vigil is the most solemn and significant liturgy in the Christian calendar, celebrated on Holy Saturday night. It marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ and begins with the Service of Light, where the Paschal candle is lit from the Easter fire. The liturgy includes the proclamation of salvation history through several Scripture readings, the renewal of baptismal promises, and the celebration of the Eucharist, symbolizing Christ's victory over death and the hope of new life.
