St Peter's Burnley
St Peter's Parish Church of Burnley has been a place of Christian worship for over a thousand years.
It has been designated a child-friendly church and welcomes people of all faiths or none with a variety of services, discussion groups, social gatherings, and concerts.
St Peter’s is proud to host concerts by the Burnley Choir and Orchestra and the Burnley and Pendle Deanery Choir. Saturday morning concerts take place throughout the year and the fortnightly lunch club meets on Thursday. There is also a community lunch of Soup & Sandwiches on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.
The heritage centre within the church gives an insight into Burnley’s history. The church possesses a fine three manual Hill organ (restored in 1999) and a Steinway Boston grand piano.
The church is available to hire for suitable events.
Fr Andrew Holmes, the Rector, hopes that you will enjoy our site and extends an invitation to visit the real St Peter’s, where you will be assured of a warm welcome.
