St Silas Blackburn

St Silas Church, Blackburn serves the Billinge, Beardwood, Revidge and Wensley Fold area.  Our church is an iconic Grade II* building located in the northwest of Blackburn town centre with a diverse community of British and non-British heritage living alongside each other. Our worship ranges from the traditional Book of Common Prayer, Common Worship and informal worship services. We aim to provide a safe place where people are welcomed and valued.

Safeguarding

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Ms Hannah Moulding on 07511017920, or the dedicated safeguarding e-mail address [email protected] - or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Cath Smith on 07711485170. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
