Postlebury and East Mendip Churches

The group of eight village churches in Postlebury and East Mendips has been under a single vicar for over 12 years.   Currently in vacancy following the retirement of Revd. Anthony Dixon, we hope to make an appointment in early 2025.  In the meantime we have full range of church services on offer which can be found at https://www.postleburychurches.org/upcoming-events/

The eight churches are all of historic interest and located in the heart of their communities.

We have a single office, located in Nunney,  to support the three parishes within the group.   The temporary location while the Rectory is refurbished in also in Nunney and the part-time administrator can be reached at [email protected] or 07404 824355

Our parishes are committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO (Caroline Pomeroy at [email protected] for Postlebury or Justine North- tel: 01749 840412/ [email protected] for Stoke St Michael and Leigh on Mendip, or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Ben Goodhind at [email protected].

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
