Welcoming difference; Sharing God’s grace

We are a diverse community of people, seeking to follow Christ’s Way of love. As such, we seek to offer an inclusive welcome to all. We have optional groups and activities for children, young people and adults. These include social activities and opportunities to explore faith, to pray and to deepen our spirituality.

Mindful of Christ’s concern for the poor, we seek to support those in need or experiencing vulnerability within our community and beyond. We strive to do this through our Community Larder, material and voluntary support for local charities supporting the homeless, hungry, lonely and migrant, through our pastoral care and children and young peoples’ teams and as we seek to make active connections between our faith, our daily living and use of resources.

We work at being a community in which all can belong whatever their belief and find a safe and gracious space in which to explore, discover and play.

We are members of the Inclusive Church Network

Our parish of Tunbridge Wells: St Mark (Broadwater Down) is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Rochester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [Debbie Marsden on 01892 526069] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [via Rochester Diocesan Office on 01634 560000]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
