St Thomas'

Our parish is open and ready to welcome you.

St. Thomas’ church is open every weekday morning from 10am - 12noon.  For important details about the guidelines we have put in place to keep everyone safe, please visit our website www.stthomas-stocktonheath.org.uk/

We are continuing to offer a daily Morning Prayer on Zoom, and we are livestreaming a Sunday morning service on our YouTube channel for those who cannot yet return to Church.

We email everyone on our Electoral Roll who has provided us with an email address (and permission) with our regular weekly bulletin. If you’re a regular member of our church and don’t think we have your email, please send it to Michael to be added to the distribution list.

Look regularly at our church website as we’ll be updating as new information becomes available.

You are not alone. Our Pastoral team are ringing households in isolation on a regular basis and volunteers will shop and get prescriptions for you. If you’d like to get in contact, you can leave a message on the vicarage answerphone 261396.

Look out for and care for each other. Not least, we urge you to follow the government’s advice if you are in a high risk category: please act selflessly in the common good, setting aside your own desires to get out and about, and acting responsibly to protect those who are less robust than you. Little acts of kindness still make a difference: you can ring or text your friends and neighbours even when you are staying inside your own home.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

Our parish is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow guidance and policies issued by the House of Bishops and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer. The Diocese of Chester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our PSO and can be found at www.chester.anglican.org/social-responsibility/safeguarding/ If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adult Services.
