St Nicholas Church - Parish of Norton

St Nicholas is a friendly church where all are welcome.

We are a community whose purpose is to share Christ’s love with all people, through worship, learning, caring relationships and service to others.

Each Sunday at 8.00am we hold a Said Communion Service after which the church bells are usually rung.

We have an active and friendly team of bellringers who ring on Sunday's, for weddings and on other occasions throughout the year.

The Friends of St Nicholas are a well supported, active group who care for the building and the life of the Church and are involved in many fundraising activities.

If you would like to contact the Church, for example to arrange a wedding or a baptism, or receive a visit from a member of the church, please call the Parish Office on 01462 678133 which is staffed on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursday and Fridays, or leave a message and we will return your call.

With our prayers for God’s Blessing on you and your loved ones,

The St Nicholas Church Family

A great service for the early bird. Readings but no hymns at this one. A fantastic way to start your Sunday worshipping God amongst friendly people in the beautiful surroundings of St Nicholas Church.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Norton is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of St.Albans’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO ( Dr Andrew Nicholls 07778 627911) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (Jeremy Hirst 01727 818107 / 07867 350886). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
