St George's Everton

Welcome to St George’s Church, whether you’re a long-standing member or part-time attender, whether you’re born and bred in Everton or are new to area, whether you’re 9 days or 90 years old, whether you consider yourself a Christian or are still searching… whoever you are you are welcome!

We are a church made up people of different ages, backgrounds and nationalities. Everyone has a different story as to how they ended up here and we love to see new people join in and share with us as we try to live out our vision of Sharing Welcome, Sharing Love, Sharing Worship.

Our worship is relaxed and informal. We have one Sunday service at 10am:  it is informal and lively, with provision for children. After the service there’s a chance to hang out with others over a cuppa tea or coffee.

Throughout the year we run different courses and outreach events to help ourselves grow in faith and share our faith with others. Each summer we go to the New Wine United gathering.

We also host the St George's Pantry- an innovative food membership scheme that brings people together to tackle food waste, bring down food bills and support each other in community.

We are privileged to worship in the world's first 'Iron Church'- an 200 year old architecutral marvel that has inspired buildings such as the Liver Building to the Empire State Building.

St George’s Everton takes its duty and obligation to protect all extremely seriously. We have adopted the national Church of England’s robust procedures and guidelines. You can find out more about the national policies and procedures at www.churchofengland.org/safeguarding. Sunday Service

Every Sunday at for 1 hour
Venue
St George's Everton
Address
Heyworth Street Everton Liverpool, L5 3QG, United Kingdom

As we are currently in an interregnum, we are holding a single Sunday service at 10a.m.
Our service is informal and contemporary with a diverse congregation in terms of age and background. The music is modern (but we still love the classics!) and led by our music group. We try to make the 10am service as accessible as possible- we preach and explore the Bible in different styles (not just a monologue every week).

For children, we alternate between services where children (aged 4+) stay in for an All Age Service and services where they can go along to Kids Church in the Beacon School (right next door to the church building). Under 4s stay in with everyone and can explore the Children's Aisle which has toys, books and games.

We also have tea and coffee after the service to help people get to know each other better
