Welcome to the website of St John’s Church, Elton, Stockton on Tees, in the Diocese of Durham.
ABOUT ST JOHN'S
There has been a church in Elton for around 900 years and St John's is a Grade II listed building, due to its historic fabric and architectural interest as a sympathetic C19 rebuild of a C12-C13 Church.
It is a caring community of faith and love with Christ at its centre.
The Parish is numerically small in population but geographically large; however, there is a congregation of around 30 each week, drawn from Elton and surrounding areas including Fairfield, Hartburn, Eaglescliffe and Stockton, who appreciate the chance to worship in a village church using the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer.
You would be made most welcome to any or all of our services and events – we would love to see you! This is your Church :-)
