St Bartholomew Cresswell

Welcome to St Bartholomew, the parish church for Cresswell, Elllington and Lynemouth.

We are a friendly community worshipping in a beautiful church which was built in 1836 by the Baker-Cresswell family.

We hope you will find what you need here, if you have any questions please contact us by phone or email or find us on facebook for information on our latest news and events.

Come and experience yourself what it feels like to pray, sing and share in a space that has many stories to tell.

You will find a smiling welcome and uplifting services followed by coffee, a perfect opportunity for making new friends and meeting old ones.

Safeguarding

The parish of St Bartholomew is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the Parish safeguarding officer, Rev Julia Lacey, 07769 988527,[email protected], or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor, Ms Carol Butler,07825 167016, [email protected] . If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
