St. George's Church

Welcome to St George’s Barrow ! We’d love to welcome you wherever you are up to in your faith journey. We’re committed to faithful teaching, real community, and a living faith in Jesus Christ.

After a number of challenging years, we have recently appointed (Sept 2025) Revd Simon Jones as our new Vicar and he marks the beginning of a new chapter for St George’s. It’ll be a time of discerning where God is leading us next.

Do join us for Morning Worship on Sunday at 10.30am. Please note- in the current rhythm- we remain closed on the 3rd Sunday of every month.

The parish of St George is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer. The Diocese of Carlisle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs.
